Not to mention written and directed by David Webb Peoples ( screen writer of Blade Runner, Ladyhawke, Unforgiven, 12 Monkeys). Worth a look for no other reason than Mad Max football. Follow exiled League star as he and his team fight to earn enough dog skulls to qualify for an official game. And that's pretty much it. No great moral pathos or unnecessary love interest. Just dusty, violent, vaguely defined blood matches. Good stuff. Looks like it's currently available on Prime.
