It's really sad that every kids movie has a 100+ million dollar budget nowadays

I was reminiscing with some friends about all these great movies we liked when we were younger: Little Giants, Homeward Bound, Matilda, The Sandlot, Dunston checks in, Free Willy, etc and we realized that these movies have been completely wiped out by big budget cgi films that are filled to the brim with A-listers doing voice overs. Is it that as an adult, I don't notice them or have these types of movies really gone the way of the dodo? Shouldn't kids see story lines with actual kids in them and not just digital characters? Or stories that are about being a normal kid set in a modest environment?
